May 2010 
Art Esprit members held rock painting workshops at Colonial Hill of Rochester and Rochester Manor with senior residents. Art Esprit members also visited Community Partners to paint rocks with clients at the Rochester facility.
May 22nd a public workshop held at artstream from 10-12 a.m. All rocks will be displayed on June 5th, opening day! 

April 2010
Art Esprit members held a rock painting workshop with the Rochester Recreation Center during April school vacation to be displayed on opening day!
Sculptures and poems finished and ready for the exhibit.

March 2010 
Art Esprit members have collaborated on a new exhibit “Rites of Spring” which will be displayed in the Rochester Public Library for the month of March.


February 2010  
Members begin the work of writing and executing the designs for the new “Rock” exhibit. Thank you to Profile Bank for again letting our artists work in your extra space!
Planning begins for Art Esprit’s super exciting large scale exhibit for 2011! It’s in the beginning stages and everyone is getting their creative juices flowing. It will be an exhibit not to be missed! Details to be unveiled later in the summer of 2010.


January 2010 
Art Esprit members work on planning and execution of their next large scale project, “If These Rocks Could Talk, “Stories of the Granite State”. It is decided to create 20 works of art with Spaulding High School creating 3 of them.


December 2009
“The Shoes of Rochester” book is published and available to purchase. All of the 11 shoes and poems are show, along with a timeline of shoe manufacturing history of Rochester and information about Art Esprit.


November 2009 
Art Esprit is acknowledged with a proclamation from the City of Rochester for the Shoes of Rochester project. The art exhibit celebrated the city’s shoe manufacturing heritage and showcased our talented artists. November 4th is officially Art Esprit Day!


 
October 2009
Art Esprit’s Adopt-A-Spot in the center of downtown is winding down for the season. Our members did a beautiful job planting and maintaining the flower all summer long!


September 2009
Sadly “The Shoes of Rochester” is dismantled on September 27th and all the shoes are brought to their owners. A few shoes found new homes in Rochester; The Old Fashioned boot can be seen at City Hall, the Western Boot at Slim’s TexMex, the Saddle Shoe at the Rochester Historical Society on Hanson St. and the Veteran’s Boot at the VFW on Route 202 in East Rochester.


August 2009

Art Esprit vote to publish a book on the project as a documentation of the public art exhibition. The members start to plan and organize their materials for the publication.
The shoes go up for sale to sponsors and the public.
Residents and visitors alike continue to come to downtown Rochester to view the Shoe exhibit.


July 2009
People come from far and wide to see the shoes! The exhibit is a major success and is enjoyed by thousands all summer long.
The Shoes of Rochester puzzle is launched and becomes a hot seller!


June 2009
The Shoes of Rochester, a public art exhibition kicks off at 10 a.m. at City Hall. Visit all 11 gigantic shoe sculptures, meet the sculptor, the fabulous artists and talented poets. Starting at artstream at 11 a.m. pick up your scavenger hunt information and take a walking tour of the city finding the answers. Return to artstream for a prize! At 2 p.m. at Factory Court model your home made flamboyant "art shoes" in a special Art Shoe Fashion show. Hosted by Andrew Periale, the poet laureate of Rochester, this event will bring out the most flamboyant of shoes and their makers.
Art Esprit awards Spaulding High School students, Teagan Brown and Kayla Sexton each $1000 scholarships to pursue their education in Fine Art.


May 2009
"A really big shoe"  Exhibit at the Rochester Public Library during the month of May. Art Esprit members are exhibiting their work in paintings, prints, multi media works, and sculpture through May 30th.
Shoe planters workshop for children and adults at artstream studios.May 30th from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring a shoe and make a planter - take it to Studley's Flower Gardens and put a plant into it - from 1-3 and leave it there to be gathered for a  display in a business in downtown for the following week. Check with artstream during the week to find out where it is and pick it up by June 16th.

Art Esprit members maintain and plant flowers in their Adopt-A-Spot at the “Christmas Tree Island” in the center of downtown.
